Patchwork and Quilting

Monday, 09.00 am – 11.00 am

Students explore  traditional and modern patchwork techniques –  both piecing and applique using hand and/or machine sewing in a very friendly, non- judgemental environment. Students generally work on their own projects with assistance & advice given as needed along the way, but we do work on class projects at times.

High level skills are not a prerequisite for success! Students only need to be able to thread a needle, use scissors and have an interest in  learning the skills of patchwork and quilting.

Starting Equipment: hand  sewing needles, threads (100% cotton), quilters pins, fabric and paper scissors, 100% cotton patchwork fabric, pen and paper.

We do have basic sewing machines to use in classes if you are starting out & don’t have one of your own. We also have quilting rulers, cutting mats, rotary cutters etc for use in the classes.
