Introduction to Design

When we ran this workshop earlier this year all the places on the workshop had been taken within a few hours of the advertising beginning – and the workshop was really well received by all the participants. If you were one of the unlucky ones who missed out on the first occasion, then here is your chance to join the workshop.

There are some basic principles of design. In this workshop we will work in two dimensions, using pencil and paper, to learn about these basic principles of design. At the moment you may be familiar with some of them or none at all but this workshop will open your eyes to the importance and impact of these principles. They can then be applied using whatever medium you prefer to work in – clay, paint, fabric …. or anything else.

You will explore positive and negative space using black and white paper. You will be able to choose your best designs and preserve them in a sample book for future reference.

Don’t miss this opportunity to learn these important basic principles.
